Nichome is the biggest gay town and it only has own promotion association. They hold street festival named “Tokyo Rainbow Festival” in Bon season every year since 2000.
The venue is around Shinjuku Park in Nichiome, and there are some street stalls celling beer,  cocktail of shochu and soft drinks.  In every hour, you can enjoy mikoshi carried by fundoshi guys, drag queens’ performance or eisa (Okinawan folk dance that marks the end of the Bon festival).  At final, they release rainbow balloon  together.
